Second Grade
They have become familiar with their Google logins and practiced doing it with 6th Grade helpers and myself.  They have begun their typing lessons on a new website called Typetastic.  It is great for learning the keyboard and I highly recommend for the classroom. It will always be on our computer lab site.   They also created a document on Google Docs and learned how to do a list.

Third Grade
They have spent some time working with Pebble Go for research and activities. They login with fresnousd as a username and fresnousd as the password as well.  We began documents on Google Docs with the topic of animals. We will be using it to learn many features of Docs.  They also have created Ten Thumbs Typing accounts and done some lessons.  My computer lab website has many online resources for them to practice these skills.

Fourth Grade
We have worked on Timelines ( site on my computer lab website). They have also learned about using Google Drawing to help with California Cover Sheets,  and they will be working with Brochure templates this week to connect with the classroom projects.  Typing lessons have also started.

Fifth Grade
Students have started Typing.com lessons. This is something they can do in the classroom and at home. They use Google logins to save their progress.  We did a science quiz and internet safety quiz for a grade as well.  Our big project is learning how to create websites. They have begun a website using Google Sites and the topic is a State of their choice.  They will be something we work on this school year in the lab.  Many should also be active in Prodigy to practice their math skills in a fun way.

Sixth Grade
Our big project to start the year has been Weebly Websites. They are creating one for their 6th Grade year and learning all the ins and outs of website creation.  They also have learned how to search for free to use photos on Google using tools along with transparent images for a future project.  They will be doing animations on Google Slides as a project this year.   They experimented with new Word Clouds ( on my computer lab site) and began a Journal in Google Docs.  Students also should have completed their first Science quiz for Mr. Pullen and are continuing keyboarding lessons on Typing.com.  Another tool for the classroom is the Snipping Tool, which we all used to save cropped images.
