Second Grade
We explored and used Google apps in many ways this quarter. They did Google Maps looking for landforms, folders for storage of documents, and we did image editing and insertion into documents. They worked on Newsela logins and trying it out. We did Health on Brain Pop, The Art Zone, online art, Spelling City work, and ABC-YA educational gaming when work was done. We also practiced sending messages with Gmail !

Third Grade
We did some bridge building, engineering, Khan math, MInecraft EE(creating a garden), Pebble Go research, Google Apps, Youtube at school, and NLVM math.  The also checked Gmail, Microsoft 365, created Word Christmas cards, Newsela articles, some science research, and Health & Nutritions sites. They were busy and learned a lot.

Fourth Grade
They did some science research on natural resources and solar energy, Khan math, Newsela articles, a scavenger hunt in Minecraft, Snipping Tool for image editing, Artpad, and facts in Math Playground.  We also worked a lot on poems and used them to focus on all they can do with Google Docs.  We did Acrostic, Cinquain, and color poems. They used positioning, insert, drawing, objects, colors, text manipulation, background, folder creation, and more inside the program. We also printed and displayed some art and poems in the lab as well.

Fifth Grade
Students continued work on their state report websites on Google Sites, and they have used a lot of this program to get it done.  We did a map hyperdoc, powerpoint on energy pyramids, Paint 3D, and started a science/math mission on Everfi. We created Word docs online, check our Outlook and Gmail, reviewed search strategies, did some Prodigy math and practiced all the elements of Google Drawing together.  Typing.com certificates were printed and in Minecraft they created a travel guide on Word and began the Oregon Trail world in the lab.

Sixth Grade
New to Sixth Grade this year was a health mission on Everfi. This is something we will do throughout the year. They did a Powtoon presentation on camp, began one for after camp on Google Slides, and experimented with Google Drawing.  We also worked with Microsoft 365 and both of their emails. They did an into to Wix websites, Google interactive maps, Thesarus.com, The Art Zone for online artwork, and supported Newsela articles and quizzes.   Coming next will be Scratch Online Tutorials in Code and new Minecraft worlds and missions.
